Arnold Auto Repair was established in July 1997 when Chad Arnold opened the doors at 1401 Wall Avenue in Ogden, Utah. Wall Avenue was, and still is, one of the working arteries of Ogden, carrying commuter traffic, work trucks, and family vehicles through the heart of the city. Chad built the shop around the drivers who used that road every day.
The business operated as a sole proprietorship for its first seven years. In August 2004, the shop incorporated as Arnold Auto Repair, Inc., formalizing the structure that would carry it through the next two decades of growth in Weber County.
Over those years, the shop moved from being the new name on Wall Avenue to being one of the longer-tenured independent repair facilities in northern Utah. The customer base expanded outward from central Ogden into Harrisville, North Ogden, West Haven, Layton, Kaysville, Farmington, Bountiful, Brigham City, Huntsville, and Syracuse. Many of the vehicles rolling in today belong to the children of drivers who first came in during the shop’s early years.
In August 2025, Chad’s son, Carson Arnold, joined the business as its second generation. He continues the same family name and operating standard that have been part of 1401 Wall Avenue for nearly three decades. That same year, the shop installed new Hunter alignment and wheel balancing equipment. This added current-generation capability for wheel alignment and wheel balancing on modern vehicles with tighter factory specifications.
Twenty-eight years in, the shop still runs on the principle Chad started with: diagnose the vehicle, write the estimate, get approval, then do the work.
